Mad Comparison: Liverpool Legend Tells Paul Pogba To Play Like Fellaini
Paul Pogba is a man that enjoys life publicly, and that often invites a lot of criticism in his direction. While some like watching footballers just stick to basics and do their stuff, some enjoy them being the social media buffs they are and fancy the fun they’re always up to.
Graeme Souness is one that falls under the former category, and his latest verdict on Paul Pogba explains why. The former Liverpool legend sent out harsh words in the direction of the French midfielder, and went ahead by branding him as ‘a bit of a YouTuber’.
This does not come as a surprise, after frequent displays of the Frenchman’s showboating style of play on the pitch. Despite Manchester United having made a splendid start to their season, and Pogba being a heavy influencer with his goals and assists, Souness feels that the midfielder is still missing key aspects from his game.
While speaking about the player after United’s Champions League win last night, the former Red sensationally said: “I want to see Paul Pogba do what Fellaini does.”
While this might be laughable for many, one can agree how the Belgian does not mind doing all the dirty work for the side and putting his body on the line every time he plays. These attributes have kept him as a regular part of the playing XI under Jose Mourinho so far.
However, Pogba will be least worried about the criticism he received, as not only did he captain Manchester United last night, but he has also been one of their star players so far this season.
A bit of old-time rivalry might be coming into the frame here by Souness, and the consequences are amusing to say the least. While he claims Pogba is yet to be a winner, the 24-year-old player has already bagged 8 trophies, including 4 Serie A titles in just 4 seasons at former club Juventus.
