Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is steadily growing to become one of the most promising central midfielders in modern day football, and the player is expected to be a hot property in next season’s summer window.
The Serbian international was on the radar of several European clubs over the summer, and is expected to garner a lot of attention in 2018 if he keeps up his form, as per the player’s agent, Mateja Kezman.
Interestingly, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, along with other top clubs across Europe, have lodged his interest in the player.
Sergej is believed to be happy in Italy, where he feels his game is growing rapidly. However, his representative recently spoke to Radio CRC (via Football Italia), and revealed that the player could be on his way out from Lazio next summer, as top clubs are expected to fight for him.
“Milinkovic-Savic to leave next summer? There’s been a lot of pressing from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester, and Milan, but the lad wants to be happy, play to keep growing and become one of the best in his role,” said Kezman.
Sergej is in his third season with Lazio, and has got off to a good start, especially after impressing for the club last term, where he scored 7 goals in 38 matches.
His agent went on to speak about the growing interest in his client’s services, by stating: “If Milinkovic-Savic keeps this up, there will be plenty of contact from different clubs, like there was over the summer.”
