Manchester United Prepare £50m January Bid For Premier League Defender
Manchester United’s problem of a long-term left-back seems to be haunting manager Jose Mourinho, who looks far from happy with the current lot of experimental left-backs in the squad.
With Luke Shaw making slow progress on his way back from injury, the Portuguese is currently deploying Ashley Young in the same position as a temporary solution to a permanent muddle.
As per the Sun, Mourinho is eyeing Danny Rose for £50m this New Year, as the 27-year-old has established himself at Tottenham Hotspur as one of the Premier League’s most exciting left-backs.
Rose has been left out of the Spurs squad for the 2018 calendar, thus, fuelling speculation that he could be on his way to Old Trafford come January.
Doncaster-born Rose, who has just returned to training after 8 months out with a knee injury, will be a tough ask for the Red Devils this winter, because if Tottenham qualify for the knockout stages in Europe, they would not like to risk their title hopes by selling an established full-back of a rival team.
