Mesut Ozil seems to be so assured of a move to Manchester United, that he has started to let his teammates know about his plausible departure, reports the Mirror.

The talented playmaker has been heavily linked with the Red Devils in the recent weeks, and seemingly, a swoop is highly probable this winter.

The 29-year-old wasn’t provided much match time this season due to a knee injury he picked up in September, and is reportedly not ready to extend his stay at the Emirates, as his current contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

However, Wenger publicly conceded that he’d rather push for a January sale than letting the German depart for free.

Despite making claims that he regards the playmaker as the best No. 10 in the world, it is yet to be confirmed that Jose Mourinho is willing to offer the Ozil a contract at Old Trafford. Regardless, having worked together for almost three years, the pair maintains a decent relationship with mutual respect as stardust.

Further, the midfield maestro’s presence in the United squad would undoubtedly fortify the Portuguese tactician’s chances of winning the title.

The decorated midfielder’s representatives, however, have been asking for £350,000-a-week to sign a new deal. It is also conceivable that the player’s excess wage demands might put off the Red Giants’ interest in his skills. Moreover, a few reports claimed that the United gaffer is not convinced Ozil can provide what he requires.

Regardless, it is not just the Red Devils who have expressed their interest in the ex-Madrid player, as Inter Milan have also been monitoring his situation for a while now. However, his agent had confirmed that he wishes to play in the Premier League at least for three more years, granting the Mancunians an edge over the Italian side.
