Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly portrayed their interest in Catalan winger Jose Arnaiz, who made his debut for Barcelona earlier this week. Accordingly, the Premier League duo has made enquiries to sound out the young talent.

The 22-year-old marked his name on the scoresheet earlier this week, when the La Liga giants squared off with Murcia in the Copa del Rey. Arnaiz netted the third goal, tempting gaffer Ernesto Valverde to infer after the game that his promising debut will only be the primary step on his way to the first-team.

Following the eye-catching performance he put up in the debut match, the Catalan’s coach said: He has grown as the game progresses. He was a little more misplaced at the start but in the second half, he has participated much more.

“He has the goal in his head and has a powerful shot. He has scored a great goal. I think he can help us. He is already helping Barcelona B but we are not two teams. We are just one: We are Barcelona and we hope this first step that he has taken can help us in the future.”

Mundo Deportivo claims that the Spanish coach was not the only one dazzled with Arnaiz’s potential, as teams like United, Arsenal, and Bayern were also aroused. Purportedly, the player’s agent, Rene Ramos, was approached by the trio posterior to Barca’s 3-0 victory in the Copa del Rey fixture.

The English giants are approaching the winger basically owing to the fact that his pace and ability would be crucially useful in the Premier League, as per the Spanish outlet. Whereas Bayern Munich are longing for a skilful long-term replacement for 34-year-old Franck Ribery.

The youngster has performed impressively well during his time at Valladolid, where he scored 12 goals in 35 appearances for the second division club. Nevertheless, it’s conspicuous that his short time in Barcelona is the sound basis of concern from multiple reputed clubs.

Furthermore, his release clause is only €20m (£17.9m), which entices the reputed trio to attempt to rope the player into their respective teams. However, the talented midfielder, upon his arrival from Valladolid, had signed a three-year-contract, which might make it difficult for other clubs to snatch him.
