Manchester United are adamant in their attempt to become a European powerhouse yet again. Real Madrid, despite swaying in form in recent weeks, are an undeniable force too. Both these clubs are now in a race to sign one particular talent that has been impressive both in the Premier League and Champions League.
Dele Alli’s reputation as an upcoming superstar with Tottenham continues. During their clash against Real Madrid, the 20-year-old was the standout performer, finding the back of the net twice in order to defeat the Spanish giants 3-1.
BetStars Director of Trading, Ian Marmion, recently had his say on the Englishman’s future, and stated (via Daily Star): “After Spurs’ impressive victory over the reigning European champions last night, BetStars are offering odds on the clubs raring to pounce on Mauricio Pochettino’s star players, with Real Madrid ready to make a swoop.
“Dele Alli’s brace against Zinedine Zidane’s men will no doubt have sparked the interest of Europe’s elite clubs, with Manchester United currently leading the charge at 4/1 to sign the 21-year-old.”
As for Real Madrid’s interest, as well as that of the other clubs, he had this to say: “After their demolition at the hands of Dele last night, Real Madrid are now the second favorites at 6/1 to steal the England international from their conquerors, while Barcelona and PSG are valued at 9/1 and 11/1 respectively to sign the former MK Dons player.”
And as for the other odds: “The Galacticos are now as low as 2/1 to swipe Harry Kane from Tottenham’s ranks. The Red Devils are priced at 5/2 to sign this season’s leading Premier League goalscorer, while Barca can be backed at 8/1.”
With Southgate naming Alli in this month’s friendly squad for the England national thing, the youngster will be looking to make his mark on all fronts.
