Chelsea Fans Will Hate Mourinho Even More After This Transfer Rumour

Defending Premier League champions Chelsea may not be having a terrific season so far, but their 1-0 win against rivals Manchester United just before the international break seemed to have brought the missing flare back in the team.

However, if not on the field, United manager Jose Mourinho is planning to beat Antonio Conte off it by targeting one of Chelsea’s vital contributors of the previous season, when the transfer window reopens in January.

Recent reports from Daily Star claim that David Luiz is extremely unhappy with Conte, after the coach decided to sideline him for most of the season, apart from his two-match suspension.

Conte preferred Dane Andreas Christensen instead, and even had 17-year-old Ethan Ampadu on the bench ahead of Luiz against the Red Devils, after the Brazilian openly criticized the Italian’s tactics following Chelsea’s defeat against Roma in the Champions League.

With Mourinho taking note of the current disputable situation at Stamford Bridge, he could end up taking advantage of it by swooping in to secure the services of the 30-year-old, with whom he has previously worked with at the Bridge.

The Portuguese has also successfully lured former Chelsea mainstay Nemanja Matic to Old Trafford for £40m – a move that angered many fans from the London club.

It remains to be seen if Luiz will be happy to work with Mourinho once again, however, considering the fact that the Special One was the one who sidelined the defender at Chelsea, played him out of position frequently, or not at all, and then shipped him out to Paris.
