Real Madrid have not shown the spurt of brilliance that they are renowned and celebrated for so far this season. Their performance in La Liga has led many to question their seriousness to claim the crown, with Los Blancos trailing 10 points behind rivals Barcelona.

While several factors contribute to this, the brunt of the blame and consequences alike will be suffered by the players themselves. Moreover, the future of one such player will certainly have Manchester United fans excited yet again.

As per a report in Diario Gol, an eight-man list has been formed by manager Zinedine Zidane, consisting of players he wishes to offload from his squad. The same has allegedly been submitted to President Florentino Perez, for him to take action.

Topping this list is Gareth Bale, and the Red Devils have supposedly been put on red alert over the possibility of acquiring the services of the injury-plagued player.

Ever since his then world record transfer to Madrid, and particularly in the recent months, United have been consistently linked with signing the Welshman.

This was brought to a top when Mourinho openly claimed that he desired the highly rated talent to be a part of his squad. However, since then, many have also dismissed the comment as potential mind games being played by the Portuguese tactician.

But if this development proves to be true, then the message will be loud and clear to Bale, and a return to the Premier League in Red would certainly be one that looks most attractive.

Apart from him, Lucas Vazquez and Dani Ceballos will be involved in the transfer market as well, but most likely as loan exits in January itself. But the names that will permanently head out the exit door with Bale are Luka Modric, Marcos Llorente, Kiko Casilla, Achraf, and Vallejo.
