Two Premier League Clubs Have Tabled Bids For Lionel Messi
Manchester City and Chelsea have reportedly launched bids for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
The Argentine is believed to be unsettled at Barcelona, and reports suggest that he is keen on a move away from the club. Journalist Eduardo Inda made claims that Messi is seriously considering leaving the club.
Speaking to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones, he said: “A few months ago Messi was a little down and was thinking seriously before the World Cup in Russia to go to China.

“They tell me that he would have received offers of 150 million euros per season [134m]. Despite this, his intention is to stay, although he has three offers in case he decides to leave the Barca team. City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain all love him.”
Messi’s admiration for Manchester City, in particular, is not exactly the most well kept secret in world football.
Many of the 5-time Ballon D’Or winner’s Argentinian team-mates have claimed that he has asked about the Citizens in the past, with Pablo Zabaleta, Sergio Aguero, and most recently, Pablo Maffeo admitting that he has shown a genuine interest in life at the club.
However, if La Liga president Javier Tebas’ words are anything to go by, Messi seems to have made his mind up to stay exactly where he is.
