With Jose Mourinho being a long-time admirer of Antoine Griezmann, Manchester United have been monitoring the forward’s situation to exploit the slightest of opportunities to make a swoop since the Portuguese tactician’s advent to the club.

Despite securing the services of Romelu Lukaku and other top-tier forwards, the ex-Chelsea coach is evidently unsatisfied, craving for the final piece of the jigsaw. Despite his desperation, he hasn’t been able to land the quintessential player he covets to operate on the flanks.

The 54-year-old, regardless, was planning to make move for the Atletico fan-favourite in the upcoming windows. Moreover, the French forward had recently portrayed his interest in moving to England.

In his biography, the decorated figure stated: “I have nothing against England except for the weather. Manchester United is a possibility. As much as I repeat that I am delighted at Atletico, I have a great coach and great team-mates, they regularly ask me about my future. I do not exclude anything.”

However, the United gaffer has purportedly demanded Ed Woodward to prioritise Juventus talisman Paulo Dybala over Antoine Griezmann, as per Independent (via Express)

Jose believes the Juventus attacker could provide him with the services he’s yearning for. The attempts of the Atletico man to signal his interest could be in vain, with the Red Devils pursuing a new target.

Besides, Dybala had previously opened the door to a transfer to Old Trafford by conceding that he misses Paul Pogba.

The Argentine had told France Football: “I can’t promise I will stay at Juventus forever. It doesn’t depend on me but I don’t even want to say that this will be my last season here.

“I want to win everything now, football’s strange, you never really know what will happen in the future. But right now I do not say to myself ‘this is my last year and I am leaving’, I think of the present and try to win everything.”
