Cristiano Ronaldo has not been in his best of forms so far this season. While the Portuguese has managed to score 8 goals in the Champions League, his 1 goal in 12 games in La Liga is a matter of concern for coach Zinedine Zidane.
With growing age, Real Madrid can’t rely on Cristiano to score most of the goals like he used to do once.
But Zidane has been quick to acknowledge that, as he is planning to rope in Antoine Griezmann from neighbours Atletico Madrid.
According to recent reports from Don Balon (via Daily Star), the 45-year-old manager is confident of securing the services of the talented Frenchman ahead of United and Barca, who look equally interested in the forward.
Real’s dismal performances have led them to think about banking in a star striker, as they are currently trailing 10 points behind league leaders Barcelona.
They could only manage to secure a 0-0 draw in the Madrid derby last week, which is why Los Blancos will hope to seal three points when they face Malaga this Saturday, and get their league campaign back on a winning track.
