Rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in Spain’s latest defensive talent Aaron Martin, and he knows it.

The Spaniard’s rise came through his impressive and consistent performances for the Spanish U21 side, and has carried the same form to the Espanyol first team.

Meanwhile, as it is in today’s footballing world, a rising talent never goes unnoticed, and clubs have already started keeping tabs on the young full-back, and the Mancunians have similar plans.

However, despite being delighted about the two English giants registering interest in him, Martins insisted that he has no plans to move to England, or anywhere as of now for that matter.

The youngster told the club’s official website: “The interest from other teams it flattering. But the truth is I am only thinking of Espanyol and I am very happy to be here, I feel that I am improving here and I enjoy helping my teammates.

“It’s important for me to play every week and to help the team, to keep pushing myself to improve as a player in the top league. My rise into the first-team has not changed me as a person, I like to keep m feet on the ground and continue to improve.”

The Spanish U21 international has a mere €30 million price tag, with elites of Europe reportedly on high alert on his situation.

On the other hand, the 20-year-old has pledged his loyalty to the Catalans, and has also signed a contract extension recently, that ties him down in Catalonia till 2020.
