Although it was owing to a mistake by the opposition, Manchester United celebrated a victory against Brighton on Saturday.

The match ended 1-0, with the only point being an own goal by the away side. Ashley Young’s shot took a tricky deflection off Lewis Dunk, giving the Old Trafford outfit an advantage in the latter half of the fascinating fixture.

However, what was even more intriguing than the match was that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was seen trading shirts with Brighton star Tomer Hemed at full-time.

And accordingly, the 30-year-old took to Instagram to personally thank the Red Devils’ striker. Despite his side suffering a humiliating defeat, the Israel international left the stadium happily following the final whistle.

The Swede, having suffered an unfortunate injury, was sidelined for seven months, and it has been only a week since he returned to the squad and began showcasing good form yet again.

The forward entered the Brighton clash after the half-time interval, alike the Israeli who replaced Glenn Murray, in his third appearance since his return from the injury.

The pair exchanged their shirts at full-time, tempting Hemed to post a picture of the jersey along with the caption: “You don’t change shirts with Zlatan, Zlatan’s shirt changes you. Thank you legend.”

This thoughtful act of the veteran forward will be forgotten neither by the Brighton forward, nor the supporters.
