BREAKING: Mourinho Provides Major Update On Matic Injury Ahead Of Arsenal Clash
Manchester United are in a crucial stage of their season at the moment, constantly trailing by eight points to leaders Manchester City, but the Reds have so far kept the pressure on.
Saturday will see them feature against Arsenal, and the Emirates will have a grand spectacle to witness, as both sides will be eager to win.
However, United face an injury crisis after Nemanja Matic’s blow against Watford earlier this week. The former Chelsea midfielder has been instrumental in their success so far this season, and will be vital should the club wish to take home three points.

Now, Mourinho has revealed the status of the injury, and it is one that fans will take some hope in.
Speaking to MUTV, the United boss revealed: “I don’t know if he can play. He’s traveling with the team, he’s going to try and hopefully he can, but I cannot guarantee he is ready.”
The fact that the 29-year-old will be traveling to London might indicate some hope. Further, it could also be the usual mind games on the part of Mourinho to try and unsettle his opponents.
But being forced to make the substitution in the 54th minute speaks volumes, and regardless of how big of a fixture it might be, Mourinho won’t look to risk more damage by fielding a player below full fitness.
But if the Serb is unable to feature on Saturday, he will break his streak of starting every single Premier League game for the Red Devils. But then again, statistics aren’t as important as a full recovery.
Replacing the stellar star will be a bigger problem for Mourinho. Despite seeming wobbly in recent games alongside Pogba, Matic has still been an important cog in how United function, and no other player can ape that in just the perfect manner.
But that is why they pay the big bucks to Mourinho, and the master tactician will be in deep thought by the time Saturday rolls around.
