With Mesut Ozil destined to leave Arsenal either in January or as a free agent next summer, his hug and a little chat with Anthony Martial post the Premier League tie against Manchester United has got several fans on social media excited.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner, who rejected a new deal at Arsenal earlier this season, has been recently linked with a move to the Red Devils as well as Barcelona.

The versatile playmaker has been in good form in recent outings, and could be a positive addition for any club with the experience he has had in La Liga and the Premier League.

Arsenal lost their home fixture against United 3-1 at the Emirates despite dominating for large periods.

After the game, during the routine handshakes, Martial and Ozil were seen hugging and chatting with smiles all over, and certain fans have taken it to speculating the former Real Madrid player with a move to United.

Fans expressed their views seeing the sight on social media site Twitter.

Although what can happen is an entity of the unknown, Ozil could be a vital addition if the Old Trafford club goes for him. Jose Mourinho shares a good relationship with the player since their time at Real, and he could be interested in the prospect of seeing the midfielder in Manchester.

However, early reports have stated that United aren’t willing to sign Ozil in January, but could go in for him in the summer, as he is available as a free agent.

Recently, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger too, claimed that both Ozil and Alexis Sanchez won’t be allowed to leave the club next month, and the Gunners are willing to risk their superstars leaving for free at the end of the season.

With Henrikh Mkhitaryan struggling to impress at United, Jose could be willing to give him another shot as the season progresses, and if he fails to show up his form, Ozil could be a suitable replacement.
