Manchester United have completed the next signing of Aliou Badara Traore, a player who has been dubbed as the next ‘Paul Pogba’.

Traore is one of the brightest young French talents at the moment, and has shown rapid progress that has led many fans to tipping him to become something special in the future.

He is currently an integral part of France’s impressive Under-17 squad, and had a lot of interest from several top clubs around Europe before United snapped him up.

Formerly of Paris Saint-Germain, the teenager was given a trial in February, and he impressed the coaches in a 7-0 win rout of Burnley.

He joined up with the youth squad for their pre-season training camp in Austria, where it became evident that he was a quality player and one worth keeping for the future.

Speaking to MUTV, United’s U-18 coach Kieran McKenna said: “Traore is a boy we’ve been looking at for a while. He is a really powerful midfielder who likes to run box to box.

“He is very strong technically and is improving all the time. He’s a nice man and his English is improving. He’s settling in well with the boys and has taken to the club really well.”

Traore is said to have a very similar technique to that of Paul Pogba, and the Old Trafford outfit will look to avoid making the same mistakes with him as they did with their world-record signing.

Juventus and Manchester City were said to be interested in signing him as well, but they have lost out to United in this pursuit.
