Man Utd Clear To Sign Serie A Star As AC Milan Fail To Include Buy-Back Clause
Italian international Bryan Cristante is attracting potential suitors, including the likes of Manchester United, over a possible summer transfer move.
Cristante is currently plying his trade at Serie A outfit Atalanta, and is enjoying a good form, as several European biggies like Inter Milan are monitoring his progress.
The 22-year-old former AC Milan youth star left the Italian club for Portuguese giants Benfica, and the Rossoneri failed to include any buy-back clause in the deal in a move that happened two seasons ago.
And now, according to Sky Sport Italia, the in-form midfielder has put all the interested parties on high alert due to the absence of a buy-back clause from Milan in his current deal.
The Benfica player has found a fresh lease of life at Atalanta after being unconvincing in Portugal. Jose Mourinho is said to be interested in the player, and is monitoring his situation closely, as the boss hopes to add more firepower to his midfield.
Cristante could be bought by Atalanta from Benfica at the end of his loan spell, and the Italian club will have a major say in the transfer, depending on whether they want to keep him or cash in on him over the summer.
The Serie A outfit has an option to make the loan deal permanent, and therefore, all the onus lies with them at the moment. Although if they do decide to sell, the highest bidder could end up winning the services of the young starlet.
The Red Devils could definitely see themselves in the race for the signature for a player that has a knack of scoring goals, as he has already found the net 11 times in 31 games for the side.
