Antonio Conte’s men were held to an embarrassing and a frankly unexpected 1-0 loss on Saturday to West Ham United. The Hammers secured a victory courtesy of Marko Arnautovic’s splendid early goal.

Being close on the heels of Manchester United just two weeks ago, one would expect the London side to go into the match all guns blazing, particularly owing to West Ham’s precarious position at the bottom of the Premier League table, but that was simply not to be.

Apart from the fall of the London Blues in this encounter, a chance moment was caught on camera during the game, which will be the one to have left a memorable mark.

It featured none other than Michy Batshuayi, as the unused substitute was touted by many to be deployed by Conte to salvage a point, but instead, supporters were greeted with the following sight.

Watch Reactions From The Fans:

Clearly, the 24-year-old holding onto the hot bottle for dear life is one of the more creative ways of ‘warming’ up, but it seemed lost on Conte. Twitter, on the other hand, would not let the sight die an undeserved death, and swarmed with follow up jokes and criticism alike.

Further, this highlights the sheer temperature factor that players are made to bear, which normal on-screen spectators are rarely victim to.

While they make it seem easy to run with vigor and score with intent while their own breaths of victory freeze over, it is only is such rare moments that the true nature of the situation seems apparent.

However, the Belgian might not be too amused by the reaction, and will be left even less amused by Conte’s decision to not use him, let alone give him what many would have thought to be a well-deserved start.
