As David de Gea finds no respite from the reports still linking him with a move to Spanish and European champions Real Madrid, the situation has gotten more interesting now.

There have been rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, and will force his way through even if Real does not agree to sell him next summer.

It remains unknown as to which European club will Ronaldo see himself playing for if he does leave. His former club, Manchester United, are once again being considered as a possible destination, but manager Jose Mourinho has already brushed off the prospect earlier.

Real and United’s relations have been sore since the De Gea deal in 2015, where he almost joined the Spanish giants, but the move collapsed on Deadline Day. But their interest hasn’t died down, and the Old Trafford club, on the other hand, is reluctant.

According to a report in Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the situation is interesting, especially with the agent involved handling all the mentioned personalities. Jorge Mendes happens to be the representative of Ronaldo, De Gea, and Mourinho, and finds himself in a sticky situation.

What is understood though, is that the Spain No. 1 could go on to sign a new deal at Old Trafford, especially with the relation he shares with Jose, and the association he has had with the club for many years now.
