Manchester duo have reportedly joined the race for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from the Turin club for quite a while now, with Chelsea being linked with him for around a year.

The former Porto full-back appeared set to make the switch to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but the move fell through. Since then, there has been a noticeable drop in his form, and Juventus now appear ready to offload him.

A fee of £60 million has been quoted for the 26-year-old, but price shouldn’t be an obstacle too difficult to overcome for United.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to solve his side’s issues at left-back, having remained unconvinced by the options currently at his disposal.

Ashley Young has made the position his own of late, but is ageing, and hardly has a few years left in him. Luke Shaw recently returned to the fray, but doubts remain over his ability to stay fit.

Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, and Matteo Darmian have all featured in the position as well, but none have put in displays worthy of seeing them keep the spot week-in, week-out. Hence, the lookout for a new left-back is underway, and a move for Sandro could be in the pipeline.

The Times reports that the Brazilian is the Old Trafford outfit’s “preferred option,” and the Red Devils could be about to steal him from right underneath Chelsea’s nose, as they did with Romelu Lukaku.
