Mesut Özil has been all over the news recently, with constant links to Manchester United filling the back-pages of daily papers.

A number of sources have claimed that the German, whose current contract with Arsenal expires in the summer, is close to signing a new deal with the Gunners, while the club officials themselves have insisted that negotiations are currently still ongoing.

However, reports of a potential move to Old Trafford have been picking up steam of late, with several journalists tipping him to move to United and reunite with Jose Mourinho again once the summer rolls by.

Recently, COPA90, a popular football fan talk show, were discussing the 29-year-old’s wonder goal against Newcastle.

Just then, popular social media figure Poet chipped in and claimed that he had been informed by an insider at Adidas that a move to United was on the cards, and a massive campaign was being set up.

Adidas are United’s kit suppliers, and they also happen to be Özil’s boot makers.

Hence, there could be a lot more to this revelation from Poet, and if there is any truth to what he is saying, it looks all the more likely that the midfield maestro will be lining up in United red at the start of next season.
