‘He’ll Undoubtedly Leave’ – Agent Confirms Nicolas Gaitan Is Set For January Move
Long-term United target Nicolas Gaitan’s arrival to the Premier League could be imminent, as his agent has revealed the player’s frustration in the Spanish capital.
The Argentinian was linked with the Premier League giants just prior to his switch to Atletico Madrid from Benfica.
However, as things turned out, Gaitan’s dream transfer to La Liga saw him become a common sight on the Atletico bench, falling further down Diego Simeone’s pecking order every week.

Consequently, the midfielder has grown impatient and frustrated at the Wanda Metropolitano, which his agent Jose Iribarren wasn’t shy to publicise.
“I can tell you English clubs are interested,” Iribarren revealed [via Foot Mercato].

“Yes, he’ll undoubtedly leave Atletico in January. He has a lot of concrete offers. Nicolas was an important player when he played in Argentina, at Benfica, and with the national team.
“He can’t continue in these conditions. If he can’t play a string of matches, nor win the coach’s trust… A player wants to play. We’re going to see with Atletico which solution we can find.
“We hope to find a club where the player will be happy and will play regularly, Nicolas isn’t a player who’s happy to play 15 minutes per match. He wants to play every game.”
With the Mancunian giants having already registered their interest, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they manage to prize the former Benfica man away to Old Trafford.
