Currently locked in a battle for the 2nd spot, many have proclaimed it to be a foregone conclusion that neither club will pose any serious title threat to Manchester City, who look set to keeping their lead intact well in the double figures.
However, this won’t stop the two giants from bolstering their respective rosters, and the winter window will perhaps see them trying to pry away one talent in particular.

As per Goal, and several other outlets, Juventus have opened the possibility of Alex Sandro leaving the club in January.
The 26-year-old left-back was a hot target for the Blues in the summer, but over recent weeks, the Red Devils have emerged as the side most eager to seal the transfer, with Jose Mourinho desperate to land a world-class player in the spot.
Juventus, for their part, have made it clear that if the Brazilian wishes to move away, then they will not hinder the possible transfer.
Speaking to Rai Sport, club director Giuseppe Marotta opined: “The policy of Juventus is that if a player asks us to leave, we will not hold him back. On Alex Sandro, we know of the interest from big clubs, but at the moment we have not engaged in any negotiations.”
As of such, it certainly appears that the Premier League clubs are just a serious move away from being able to land their top target. It will be interesting to see if a bidding war emerges, and which club comes out victorious, if at all.
