Underrated by many and adored by the rest of the United fans, Jonny Evans has always been a subject that splits opinion between supporters.

However, world-class managers such as Pep Guardiola and Arséne Wenger fall in the latter category, and want to integrate the former United man into their roster.

That’s according to BBC, who have reported that Evans, who has about 18 months left on his current deal at West Bromwich Albion, has told his side he has no interest in extending his stay any further than that.

Meanwhile, the Baggies were said to be looking to keep hold of the player until the upcoming summer, but they may not be able to resist if a significantly good offer comes in this January.

And that is exactly what Wenger is willing to offer, with a reported £25 million bid ready to be tabled with the weighted advantage of West Brom’s interest in Mathieu Debuchy, especially with boss Alan Pardew looking to strengthen his squad.

On the other hand, Guardiola is keen on bolstering his side’s somewhat shaky defense, in an almost perfect system. Though Eliaquim Mangala has come through as a very fortunate backup for Vincent Kompany so far, Pep does not believe in his quality on the long term.

However, the Northern Irishman and his family seem to have taken a liking with life in the north west, and prefer to remain there. But the pull from the likes of the Skyblues and the Gunners may suit the 30-year-old’s fancy.
