La Liga juggernauts Barcelona returned to regular first team training at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after their trip to Stamford Bridge for the Champions League Round Of 16 clash against Chelsea, which ended in a 1-1 draw courtesy of a late Lionel Messi goal.

The Catalan giants are now preparing to take on Girona in La Liga this weekend, but one of their stars seems to be very low on confidence, especially after being left as an unused substitute against the Blues on Tuesday night.

Ousmane Dembele has had a nightmare start to his Barcelona career after moving from Borussia Dortmund for a massive £135 million over the summer. The French winger has been out of action for the majority of the season, and has featured in just eight games for La Blaugrana.

However, the 20-year-old would have definitely had a major boost in confidence after what happened in training yesterday.

Barca’s media team captured a stunning moment involving mega star Leo Messi and the youngster himself. While going through with a routine el Rondo exercise, Dembele nutmegged Jordi Alba before the ball was quickly passed onto Messi.

And the Argentine wizard not only stopped the exercise, but also took a moment to applaud the former Dortmund star, hoping to inspire confidence in his young teammate.

The moment was a showcase of how Messi was inspired by the legendary Ronaldinho in his early days at the Camp Nou.

Even the fans lauded Argentina international’s gesture, as they posted multiple messages on social media, heaping praise on the 30-year-old maestro.
