Real Madrid clinched three vital points in a 1-2 win over Eibar in La Liga on Saturday, but the headlines were stolen by their captain, Sergio Ramos, who mysteriously left the pitch towards the end of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo netted the first goal of the match after 34 minutes, but the hosts levelled the scoreboard courtesy of an Ivan Ramis’ second half header.

With a quarter of an hour still left to play, the tied fixture saw something out-of-the-blue, when Ramos exited the field of play at the 76th-minute mark.

Although Ronaldo once again rose to the occasion to snatch a brilliant goal with just 6 minutes of regular time to go, the question on everyone’s mind was, where did Sergio Ramos go?

The brief 10-minute, unscheduled exit, which came after manager Zinedine Zidane had used up all his substitutions, was because the Spaniard had literally ‘shit himself’.

The Los Blancos’ skipper actually pooped himself during the match, and was thus forced to visit the bathroom.

The Spain international spoke to referee, Jose Luis Munuera Montero, in the 73rd minute of the game, and then stormed down the tunnel to literally get his shit together.

After the fixture, Zidane confirmed the defender’s sudden exit was because ‘he needed the No.2,’ as he bluntly said: ” I think Sergio [Ramos] had to take a shit, he went to the toilet and returned in a minute.”

And while the instance was found hilarious by presumably everyone, Ramos too, didn’t shy away from stating the obvious.

The 31-year-old posted a picture of Ronaldo and himself with the caption: “Nature calls… Out & back in… Reload… Team goal… Back home… Let’s keep it up. #HalaMadrid”
