Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering the possibility of a sensational swoop for David De Gea, should Neymar decide to leave the club in the summer.

Just a year into his career in the French capital, the Brazilian already seems to have grown disillusioned with life at the club.

Certain reports have even gone as far as to say that he had already informed Barcelona about his desire to return to Spain, but it would undoubtedly need a lot of money to be involved if he is to head back.

PSG would be eager to recoup as much as possible from the £198 million they spent to bring him to the Parc des Princes, so Barca would have to dig deep into their pockets to re-sign him.

However, if the sale does somehow go through, and Neymar returns to his former club, PSG will eagerly reinvest the funds into another spectacular signing, having already identified David De Gea as the perfect target.

The Spanish no.1 just has 16 months left on his current contract with United, and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a number of seasons now.

According to Telefoot, PSG are ready to jump in and offer a lot more than Los Blancos can. The Parisians have identified a weakness in their defense, and are keen to make changes, despite Alphonse Areola having a brilliant record of 15 clean sheets in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

Despite the money at hand, De Gea may still prefer a move to Spain over France due to the drop in quality of the competition between the Ligue 1 and the Premier League, so it may take a lot more than a lucrative contract to convince the shot-stopper to move to Paris.
