Jose Mourinho’s interest in one of his former players, Willian, isn’t a new thing.

The Portuguese has been trying to get the Brazilian to switch alliance from London to Manchester, and after failed attempts last summer, he is said to resume his pursuit of the Chelsea forward.

Manchester United want the versatile player in order to add more firepower to their attack. As per The Sun, the Blues value Willian at £60m, and the Mancunians are willing to pay the amount to land him.

Willian has been one of Chelsea’s best players in recent weeks, and he also scored against United at Old Trafford in their recent 2-1 loss in the Premier League.

After the Red Devils bowed out of the Champions League in the Round of 16, Jose is said to have identified a few players that could help them go big next season. And it is understood that Willian is one of those targets.

With Antonio Conte’s future at Chelsea in doubt, a lot will depend on whether a new coach is brought in come summer, and if he will allow a player of Willian’s calibre to leave. With 13 goals in 45 games for Chelsea this term, Willian has already got his best tally for the Blues.

His vitality for the London outfit is massive, but a superb campaign in the World Cup for Willian could spark United’s interest even further.
