Barcelona Eye Shock Move For Luke Shaw
Barcelona are reportedly considering a shock swoop for Luke Shaw, according to the Mirror.
The Englishman is enduring a nightmare spell at Old Trafford, and just isn’t a Jose Mourinho player, despite doing everything in his power to convince the Portuguese of his worth.
The United boss has regularly singled him out for criticism in his press conferences, but has also claimed on a number of occasions that he has the potential to be the best left-back in the world.
These contradictory comments have left Shaw confused and upset about how he is being treated.

A number of fans, pundits and journalists have jumped to the full-back’s defence in recent weeks, and there have been many calls for him to move on in the summer, and end the torment once and for all.

Chelsea and Arsenal have shown an interest in signing him, but Barcelona have surprisingly shown an interest as well, and have enquired about his availability.
Shaw is still only 22 years old, and would probably only be a substitute even if he does move to the Catalan giants.
Jordi Alba is the club’s main occupant of the left-back slot, but the Southampton academy graduate would offer good competition, and would be a brilliant option for the club in the long-term.
Alba is Shaw’s senior by a whole 7 years, and with current backup Lucas Digne unhappy with the lack of game time he is getting, there could be a slot available for the United defender if the Frenchman departs from Camp Nou.
