What Alexis Sanchez Did After Scoring Goal Against Swansea
Manchester United fans were out in full force on twitter after Alexis Sanchez put up a brilliant display in his side’s 2-0 win over Swansea, but it wasn’t their own club that was the center of their tweets.
The Chilean played a part in both goals, assisting Romelu Lukaku for the first and scoring the second himself. It was a superb performance from a player who has been rather underwhelming since his megabucks move from Arsenal in January.
Until the Swansea game, Sanchez had scored just 1 goal since his transfer, which was a rebound from a penalty he himself had missed, and hadn’t had a single assist in the league.
As a result, the Gunners fans began to troll their former forward, and poked fun at United for wasting so much money on a player who was supposedly ‘finished’.

However, his performance against the Swans at Old Trafford shows that he still has a lot left to offer, and is merely taking time to settle in.
His goal came thanks to a piece of genius from Jesse Lingard, whose pass nutmegged two players before finding his run, and the finish was as calm and composed as it gets.

However, it was his celebration that was the talk of social media, as he ran towards the United fans and slid on his knees in relief and absolute joy. The fans were ecstatic with his moment of passion, and took to twitter to heap praise on to the forward.
Seizing the moment almost as if they have been waiting decades for it to arrive, they also took the chance to return the banter to the Arsenal fans, who were finally silenced for the first time in two months.
