Manchester United are ready to let David De Gea join Real Madrid in the summer, as long as the Spaniards allow Cristiano Ronaldo to move the other way.

According to reports from the notorious Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Ronaldo is keen on a return to Old Trafford in the summer, and is willing to bring an end to his nine-year association with Los Blancos to do so.

With Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford both being linked with moves away from the club, there could potentially be space for the Old Trafford legend to return to the club where he first staked his claim as the best player in the world.

The report claims that Jose Mourinho, who worked with Ronaldo during his time as Real Madrid manager, is ready for a reunion with his Portuguese compatriot, and is willing to offer £65 million plus De Gea to sign him.

Of course, these rumours appear far fetched, but it is no surprise that De Gea is once again being linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, as Real have been tracking him for the last three seasons.

Man Utd To Welcome PSG Player To Old Trafford, And It’s NOT Neymar

Mourinho is desperate to spend big and improve his defence in the summer, so letting go of the world’s best goalkeeper would make no sense.

However, the Portuguese tactician is known for not standing in a player’s way if he is desperate to leave, and if De Gea ever reaches that stage, Mourinho is ready with a list of players he would like to have in return.
