Jose Mourinho has created a lot of buzz in Spanish print media, and is said to be extremely determined in landing one of the game’s most prominent names. The Portuguese is planning on getting a proven midfielder to replace Michael Carrick.
With Marouane Fellaini’s situation not looking very positive, given his contract talks getting stalled once again, the need of the hour for Jose is a midfielder. And the player the former Real Madrid boss is targeting is Toni Kroos, who is a star asset at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to reports in Spanish outlet Don Balon, the Old Trafford club has made a very important offer for Kroos and the German midfielder is interested in moving to England.
The report claims that Jose is willing to do anything, which also includes playing mind games through the media, to put pressure on Kroos.

United have been linked with a move for Napoli midfielder Jorginho, and Don Balon states that this is just a manner to put more pressure on Kroos so that he snubs Real and switches alliances with the Red Devils instead.
Mourinho is said to have told the United think-tank that Kroos is the marquee signing he needs.
Reports in The Independent claimed that Jorginho is being viewed as the best replacement for Kroos if the 2014 World Cup winner doesn’t join the English club.
Jorginho has played a crucial role for the Italian outfit, who are second in the Serie A. Like Kroos, the player has also impressed one and all.
But United’s major interest lies in the German, who is a three-time Champions League winner with Bayern Munich and Real.
