Manchester United are reportedly interested in making a move for Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet in the summer.
Lenglet started at the back for Sevilla when they embarrassed United at Old Trafford in the Champions League last 16, and the Reds were so impressed with his performance that they dispatched scouts to keep an eye on him for the rest of the season.
Jose Mourinho is desperate to bring in defensive reinforcements in the summer, having been dissatisfied by the options currently at his disposal.
The likes of Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian, and Luke Shaw look set to leave this summer, while Phil Jones and Chris Smalling also face uncertain futures at the club.

A number of targets have already been earmarked for a switch to the Theatre of Dreams as potential replacements to the aforementioned players, including Samuel Umtiti, Harry Maguire, and Alfie Mawson.
Lenglet is only 22, but is beginning to make a name for himself in La Liga. He signed for Sevilla from Nancy back in January 2017, and has since made 68 appearances for the club.
Manchester United, though, have money on their side, and the report claims that while Lenglet may cost the club a relatively low sum of £20 million, Mourinho’s men may look to ensure that they have no competition, and are prepared to offer more than the asking price.
