English Giants Interested In Signing Dortmund Duo
It seems that the Manchester clubs could be in for a summer tussle in order to land their targets after showing interest in the same players.
After reports of midfielder Jorginho doing the rounds, now the two clubs are set to rival each other for Borussia Dortmund’s star duo, as per Calciomercato.
The source states that both clubs have been scouting Dortmund duo Julian Weigl and Christian Pulisic respectively.
Both clubs are in search for a midfielder, and have been linked with several star players. The Manchester giants are said to have identified midfielder Julian Weigl for his accountability and solidity.

United see a gap in midfield with Michael Carrick retiring at end of the season, and the future of Marouane Fellaini also not secure, as he could leave on a free transfer.
Jose is believed to have identified key midfielders that include the likes of Jorginho and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, along with Weigl.

City too, are interested in the German midfielder, who has been in the thick of things for Dortmund. Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the player, and wants him to join the side with Yaya Toure leaving the club and Fernandinho approaching the final years of his career.
The Sky Blues are believed to be the current frontrunners, but a lot depends on who United get, and if they fail to land the other targets, Dortmund could be subjected to multiple bids. That could see both clubs enter a tussle.
