Manchester United seem to have been busy getting highly rated academy players signing their first professional contracts, and the latest to join the list is Brandon Williams.

The full-back, who made his debut for the U18s at the end of the 2016-17 season, has been a key member of the side. United U18s team pocketed the Premier League North title recently to show they are developing as one of the best teams in the country.

The U18s face a strong Chelsea side in the national final at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday, and will be determined to get their hands at another trophy.

Meanwhile, the 17-year-old Mancunian completed the paperwork at the club’s Aon Training Complex on Monday, and is happy with his performances so far.

He told ManUtd.com: “This season has just been better than I expected, being a first year. Getting into the squad, obviously doing well in the league and keeping going until the end of the season.”

The young England international, who has been a huge fan of the club since his childhood days, added: “I grew up around Manchester and always supported United. I just love the club. I’ve been here since I was seven so, near enough, 10 years.”

He has been an influence in the team under coach Nicky Butt, who has helped the starlet reach this stage. Brandon cited that his long-term ambition is to be at United with an eye in the senior team.

“My long-term ambition is just to stay at the club and go as far as I can. Hopefully, one day, I can get in the first team and play regularly,” said the talent.
