Henrikh Mkhitaryan may have left Man United in the January transfer window in a swap deal with Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, but he created a new record when the two sides met over the weekend.
The former Borussia Dortmund player, who scored on his return to Old Trafford, created an individual record which goes in the history books.
The Armenian midfielder became the first player to score for and against the Mancunian club in the same season.
The attacking midfielder scored the equaliser in the second half for the Gunners, and it was for the first time a player had scored for and against United in a single Premier League season.

Mkhitaryan had earlier netted while playing for United against Everton in the early phases of the season in September 2017.

He had joined United under Jose Mourinho in 2016-17, and played a crucial role in helping the side lift the Europa League and the League Cup. Yet in his second season, he started off brilliantly, but could not keep up the good work and eventually lost his place in the side.
The relation with Jose Mourinho took a sad turn, and he was shipped out once Alexis became available. The goal that Micki scored was only his third Premier League goal of the season.
The player showed his class though, by not celebrating against his former club, for which he featured in 63 matches. He has scored five goals across all competitions this season, which include three for Arsenal in 13 appearances so far. He was also given a warm applause from Arsenal and United fans on Sunday.
Now, Mkhitaryan will hope to do well for his side when they take on Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
