Happiness at a club regardless of its popularity is key to a player’s stay. Often, the problem with powerhouses is that they prove incapable of distributing playing time fairly between top talents and budding ones, which leads to mass disagreements, and has more than once resulted in exits.

Real Madrid is one such club, and the previous season has seen the ascent of one impressive Spaniard at the Bernabeu.

Marco Asensio has certainly impressed supporters with his performances, during which he has managed to net 9 goals and provided 5 assists in all competitions with minimum playing time. So much so that one club may be interested in prying him away.

As per Don Balon, Man Utd have submitted a €100m offer for the 22-year-old. The oft questionable source also adds that the reason behind the alleged bid is an apparent dissatisfaction on part of the player at Madrid.

Asensio is believed to be unhappy with the game time he has been receiving, or lack thereof. In fact, while his main intention is to remain with the Galacticos, he has allegedly informed Florentino Perez that if the club signs any more forwards, a departure is assured.

This is indeed a tough call for the club, who have always had the signing of a big name on their mind, currently said to be pursuing the likes of Eden Hazard, Mo Salah, and even Neymar, to name a few.

To add to the intensity of the offer, Mourinho is said to be willing to offer Pogba or De Gea plus cash in order to land the ace forward. This may be a bit of a risk to take, if true, as the talent’s ability to reproduce his success is as of yet not assured.

So what will  Madrid do – sign more and lose a valuable talent, or keep a player Man Utd are willing to bet much on?
