Lucas Vazquez has reportedly informed his fellow club teammates of his desire to join Manchester United.

The versatile Real Madrid star has been linked with a switch to Liverpool, who have supposedly been convincing the player to move to the Merseyside at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Moreover, the Galacticos are also believed to be eager to let the Spaniard move to the Anfield outfit, as they intend to use Vazquez as a makeweight in their summer pursuit of Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah.

However, Vazquez himself, has ideas of his own, if Spanish news outlet Diario Gol is to be believed. As per their report, the versatile forward has told his teammates that he is more interested in joining the Reds’ arch-rivals, Manchester United.

Manchester United Made A Mistake By Selling 24-Year-Old Forward

Los Blancos are supposedly ready to let the player leave if they receive a fee in the region of £35m (€40m) and £44m (€50m) – an amount the Red Devils could easily cough up given the gigantic financial resources they possess.

However, the claims made by this far-from-reliable source directly contradict the winger’s statements made in the month of March, wherein he publicly pledged his future to the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.

“My dream has always been to play for Real Madrid,” Vazquez was quoted as saying.

“When they proposed [the return] to me it was like seeing a lifetime’s work rewarded. I am very happy at Real Madrid, it is the team that formed me as a player and I hope I can stay for many years.”
