Wilfried Zaha appears set to make a sensational £50m move to Manchester City this summer.

Following a torrid spell with Manchester United, Zaha has successfully revived his career upon returning to Crystal Palace, and he played a gigantic role in helping the Eagles stay afloat and avoid relegation this season.

Naturally, his antics have caught the attention of the biggest clubs in the land once again. The forward was previously linked with transfers to Arsenal and Tottenham, but now, new juggernauts in the form of Manchester City seem to have entered the fray.

Despite winning the Premier League title by a 19-point margin, Pep Guardiola is eager to improve his squad in order to mount a successful title defence as well as compete for European glory.

With the aim of improving his frontline, the Spanish tactician has identified £50m-rated Wilfried Zaha as an able candidate for the job, according to Mirror.

The Citizens have been in pursuit of an attacking reinforcement since January 2018, as evident from their pursuit of Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez. And while the Algerian is still on their wishlist, the Sky Blues could very well end up signing a younger alternative in Zaha.

If this deal does materialise, the Ivory Coast international will no doubt return to Manchester with a renewed vigour to succeed at a big club as well as a point to prove to his former team from the Red part of the city.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson seems to have already accepted the possibility of the 25-year-old’s departure, after having recently admitted: “It’s inevitable we are going to lose a few good players in the summer.”
