Jose Mourinho To Invest £150m In Signing Just Three Players
Jose Mourinho has been sincere in his claim that if Manchester United wish to outperform rivals Manchester City next season, they must also outspend their noisy neighbors.
Already linked with several names, some of them looking likely to put a big dent on their coffers, United must also seek a way in which to make the transfers economical.
The most logical route to achieving this is by getting rid of talent, and United clearly have surplus players, some of them wilting away huge wage packages along with their time on the bench.
As per Metro, Mourinho is looking to invest up to £150 million in signing just three players this summer. Alongside, the manager is also intent on trimming the sizeable wage bill at the club.

The source claims that Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind, despite Mourinho stating otherwise earlier, will be shown the exit door by virtue of their wages, each of which comes to £85,000 a week.

Similarly, and on a more obvious ground, Luke Shaw’s incredible package of £135,000 per week will also make him an assured candidate for departure.
However, prior to him leaving, Mourinho is eager to solve the club’s left-back issue, and will reportedly not sanction a move till a replacement is guaranteed. This, as per the same claim, will come in the form of Tottenham’s Danny Rose.

The pacey Englishman has been linked with United for quite some time now, and will be an apt candidate for flank duty.
Similarly, Mourinho’s intent for a central midfielder makes Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic the next name. But it is believed that the left-back position is of a bigger priority for the Portuguese gaffer.
Further, in the event that Marouane Fellaini refuses to sign an extension to his expiring contract and leaves in the summer, United will also look for his replacement. The source adds that this may come in the form of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred.
