Man United are said to be interested in a right-back in order to provide back-up to Antonio Valencia for the upcoming season.

Second choice Matteo Darmian is supposedly on the verge of joining Juventus, with talks in full progression, as reported by several media houses.

And with Jose Mourinho looking to bring in reinforcements in order to bolster his squad and challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title next season, he seems to have identified Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj as a potential target, as per The Sun.

With Valencia set to turn 33 soon, United want a long term replacement for the Ecuadorian. Therefore, Hysaj, who has made a total of 130 appearances for Napoli across three seasons, could be the vital recruit for United in defensive terms.

The Italian club isn’t keen on selling a star player, and the manager, Maurizio Sarri, is believed to be angered by such a minimal release clause for the talented player.
