Manchester United could sign Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam for an unbelievably discounted price.
It’s no secret that the English giants have been facing a consistent crisis in the left-back position for a few seasons now, and Jose Mourinho intends to solve it once and for all this coming summer.
The Mancunians have already been linked with the likes of Danny Rose and Alex Sandro – two exceptionally talented left-sided defenders, but just as expensive in this inflated transfer market.
But now, United could get their hands on a world-class left-back for a discounted fee, provided they act swiftly.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Red Devils could sign Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam for a mere €38 million, as long as they make an official bid before the 30th of June.

As soon as the month of July begins, though, the Algerian international’s price will rise up to €48 million, as per the terms of his latest contract with the Serie A club.
While this report seems far from believable, its claim has been backed by another trustworthy Italian source, Il Mattino. In fact, this news outlet has indicated that the Reds could secure the 27-year-old’s signature for as little as €35 million.
The supposed reason behind this discounted price tag is the fact that the Naples-based club does not believe any interested party would cough up a huge amount for a player who recently suffered back-to-back knee injuries.
Meanwhile, both sources have dubbed Manchester United as the favourites to land the defender, thanks to Jorge Mendes, who represents both Ghoulam and Mourinho.
