Manchester City Look To Sign Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos appears to have attracted interest from Manchester City this summer.

After seeing his arch-rivals Manchester United wrap up their quick transfer business, Pep Guardiola wants to sign one of the Red Devils’ former targets for himself. Reports in Spain believe that the Cityzens are eyeing a move for the German international this summer.

Kroos has been subjected to multiple bids from Manchester United during his time at Bayern Munich, but the midfielder decided to join Los Blancos after the 2014 World Cup.

The Real Madrid man is said to be considering his future in the Spanish capital. Guardiola is a huge fan of the 28-year-old, and the chance to work with the Spaniard could lure the player to Manchester City this summer.

Born in East Germany, Kroos caught the eyes of the big clubs after his impressive performances for his nation in the 2014 World Cup.

Madrid secured his services from Bayern Munich for €30 million on a six-year contract. In his 4 seasons, he has made 190 appearances so far, and played a key role in the Champions League hattrick.

New boss Julen Lopetegui wants to maintain the core of Real Madrid, and will make every attempt to keep hold of Kroos this summer.

But Los Blancos will still need to make a few more tweaks if they are to catch up with Barcelona in La Liga next season.

Bale and Ronaldo have also thrown their futures in doubt. While the former is said to have a made a complete U-turn after Zidane’s surprise departure, the Portuguese is still uncertain, and is set to make a decision after the World Cup.
