Paul Pogba has been scrutinized by pundits all over the world since he made his big money move to Manchester United. The French International has failed to perform on a regular basis for club and country, and has been picked on for his haircuts and social media presence.
But the midfielder had the final laugh as France conquered the devils of Euro 2016 to beat Croatia and lift their second World Cup. Pogba had won the Best Young Player award in Brazil 2014, and a lot was expected from him this time around.
The 25-year old played a crucial role in the French midfield this summer. He featured in all the six games for Les Blues, and scored an important goal to seal the win in the final.
In the 59th minute, Griezmann dropped the ball for the central midfielder, but his initial strike was blocked by the defender. He latched on the rebound that left Subasic wrong-footed, giving France a 3-1 lead.
Pogba’s main critics, Graeme Souness, Paul Scholes, and Eamon Dunphy are yet to speak about the fact that he would be bringing the World Cup to Manchester United. But former Red, Patrice Evra, had one of the best reactions after seeing his ex-teammate score against Croatia.
Evra came out in full support for Pogba after seeing his goal. In his video, the former Juventus defender demanded everyone to respect his brother and stop talking nonsense about his performances: “Respect him! Respect! Why do you always talk bullshit about my brother?”

The ‘I Love This Game’ social media sensation also revealed that he couldn’t wait for Pogba to return with the trophy, and vowed to have the same haircut as the 25-year-old.
“Oh my goodness! I can’t wait, Paul. I can’t wait for you to get back to England with the trophy. I swear I will do the same hair. Respect my brother! Respect him! Are you crazy or what?” the former French international added.
