Manchester United managed to get back to winning ways as they beat Burnley comfortably.

Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring for the Red Devils as he latched onto a brilliant cross from Alexis Sanchez. Minutes before half-time, the Belgian International doubled the lead when he slotted the ball in from close range.

Before the game, there were talks about Jose Mourinho’s job at risk, but his players put in a great performance against the Clarets to save him, at least for now. But one player was unhappy with the events that transpired at Turf Moor.

Alexis Sanchez was visibly unhappy after Mourinho replaced him for Marcus Rashford at the hour mark. The 29-year-old was seen throwing his tape as he looked at his teammates from the dugout.

The Burnley defender managed to get away with a yellow card, but Manchester United fans believed that he should have been sent off along with Rashford as well.

The 20-year old will be missing the next three games against Watford, Wolves, and Derby, which means Alexis might have to play the entire 90 minutes in these games.

It also presents an opportunity for Anthony Martial, who has decided to stay at Old Trafford at least for this season.

Sanchez’s displeasure on the bench shouldn’t be taken seriously, as the Chilean International only just returned from an injury last weekend.

Mourinho is looking to protect his best players as the games pile up for the Red Devils, with the Champions League and League Cup set to return in the coming weeks.
