Jose Mourinho’s time at Manchester United could be over sooner than expected. The Portuguese, who has a contract till 2020, may not see the end of the tunnel at the Premier League club.

United, having got off to their worst start to the league in 29 years, find themselves 10th in the table with 10 points from 7 matches. They have lost 3 PL matches already, and are winless across all competitions in 4 games.

On Friday, a concerned Jose opined that his side cannot afford to lose or draw against Newcastle, who visit Old Trafford. Pressure has been mounting on the manager, who is seeing a group of players looking jaded and playing without confidence.

Both on- and off-field issues have bothered the manager, and there have been talks circulating that he might be offloaded if results do not improve.

Mourinho is already having issues with Paul Pogba, and there are many other players that seem unhappy to play for the manager.

Reports claim that former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is the likely candidate to take over the job.

Mourinho won three trophies in his first season in Manchester, before helping the side to finish 2nd in the league last season. But things have gone awry for him, and we could now be ready for his departure.
