The Reds have been poor in front of goal this season. Romelu Lukaku looks like a shadow of himself, and has been accused of over-working by dropping into deeper roles.

Jose Mourinho hasn’t been able to field any alternatives either, as Alexis Sanchez has also failed to replicate his old Arsenal form at Old Trafford.

The 29-year old has come under criticism from the United gaffer, and has been dropped from the starting XI for the recent fixtures. Subsequently, earlier this week, reports emerged that Sanchez isn’t happy at the Mancunian outfit, and could attempt to leave the club in January.

Manchester United officials have decided to sell the player in an attempt to fund moves for Jose Mourinho’s winter targets. Sanchez’s representatives are said to be aiming at a particular European club, which has the ability to match their client’s £500,000-a-week wage demands.

Before the Red Devils came in, the Chilean International had set his eyes on a move to Paris Saint-Germain, who were keen on adding him to their ranks. But huge investments in Neymar and Mbappe meant that the Ligue 1 club was not longer capable of offering him his desired salary.

Furthermore, PSG’s forward line is packed, with the likes of Mbappe, Neymar, and Cavani being regular starters, which could mean that the Chilean might have to spend time on the bench, similar to his current situation in Manchester.

Manchester United could manage to get a sweet deal if they decide to swap players, however, with their former player Angel Di Maria seemingly a potential solution to Mourinho’s attacking woes.

The Argentine forward has been living in the shadows of Neymar and Mbappe for most of this season, but Jose could finally re-sign his former Real Madrid winger, and finalise the transfer he has been aiming for these past couple of seasons.
