With the first leg having ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors, Juventus are now set to host Manchester United for the return fixture of the Champions League group stage encounter on Wednesday night.

The clash of the two European juggernauts has not just been an enjoyable on-field prospect, but it has also led to some off-the-field effects, particularly concerning transfers.

Players from each of the two factions are being linked with potential moves to the other club, with more and more reports emerging day by day.

As per the latest report from Calciomercato, Red Devils’ boss Jose Mourinho seems interested in signing two current Juventus players come January.

The Manchester United boss has supposedly prioritised the signing of Juve full-back Alex Sandro, having already asked the club to start preparing an offer for the Brazilian “immediately”.

This update doesn’t make a lot of sense, however, considering Luke Shaw has not only revived his career at the Old Trafford club, but has also been consistently impressing one and all with his performances at left-back.

The source further states that the Portuguese tactician is also eager to lure Mehdi Benatia to Manchester, given his side’s persistent issues in central defence.

United are being dubbed as “desperate” to get these signings done in the winter transfer window, with Mourinho demanding a proper “economic effort” to finalise the deals.

Lastly, the Premier League giants also seem to be targeting Paulo Dybala and Joao Cancelo, albeit for the 2019 summer window, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and David De Gea also expected to be a part of unrelated discussions.
