Cristiano Ronaldo almost stole all the headlines once again on Wednesday night, when he lit up the high-profile clash between Juventus and Manchester United with a stunning goal.

The first-time volleyed strike was followed by an equally sensational celebration, as the Portuguese forward flashed his six-pack abs in front of the Old Lady to commemorate his first Champions League goal for the Italian giants.

The celebration didn’t sit to well with supporters of Cristiano’s former club, as the Red Devils’ fanbase found it a little too disrespectful, despite Ronaldo offering his apologies to the away camp immediately after.

Ronaldo then proceeded to criticise the visitors’ performance on the night in his post-match interview, as he stated: “I was happy for the goal but I am a little bit disappointed.

“We should’ve won the game easily. Three, four goals. And Manchester didn’t do much, in my opinion.

“They create two chances, set-pieces, they know the English teams, they are always looking for the set-pieces but we will learn from our mistakes and we are still top of the group.”

United fans on social media immediately began going after their former number 7 on social media, with some poking fun at his over-the-top celebration in what eventually turned out to be a shock defeat.

Much to their surprise, however, a Manchester United player joined the bandwagon of trolling Ronaldo, as Jesse Lingard posted a hilarious picture of his own shirtless self on Instagram, with the caption: “Who did it better?”

Nicely played by the Englishman.
