Rashford Could Join European Giants, After Failed Ibrahimovic Move
AC Milan have identified Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford as a transfer target.
The Italian giants have been on the lookout for attacking reinforcements for quite some time. In fact, they had been strongly pursuing a former Red Devil in the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, until the move eventually fell through.
Leonardo, Milan’s sporting director, recently revealed (via Fox Sports): “Ibrahimovic won’t be returning to Milan. He gave his word to LA Galaxy that he would renew his contract. We thought about bringing him back and he thought about it too, but he is keeping his word and will stay in MLS.
“He always said from the start that if Galaxy satisfied his conditions, then he’d stay. They are doing that and he will stay there. It would have been a marvellous story and a strong signal of intent [from Milan], but it won’t be possible.”

Now, the Serie A outfit appears to have turned its attention elsewhere, having identified Manchester United‘s golden boy, Marcus Rashford, as their next target of pursuit, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
Despite having scored just 3 goals in 18 appearances so far this season, the Englishman has been performing quite impressively. His displays have attracted interest from not just Milan, but also the reigning European champions, Real Madrid.

The report further adds that if Milan fail to convince Rashford to make the switch, which seems quite likely, they shall target a move for Liverpool forward Divock Origi.
Chelsea superstar Cesc Fabregas, along with Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella, are also said to be on Gennaro Gattuso’s transfer wishlist.
